Experience the spirit of
Mexico City like never before.
Mexico City October 2026
Immersion, not logistics—led by Tancredi & Morgen
A design-forward journey through Mexico City, where color, craft, and history exist in quiet dialogue.
Settle into a private studio overlooking Parque México, within a thoughtfully designed boutique hotel in the heart of Condesa—an artful neighborhood shaped by architecture and sidewalk cafes. Days unfold through memorable meals at celebrated tables and intimate visits to contemporary artists’ studios, where material, process, and story take center stage.
The journey moves through the city’s cultural soul: Frida Kahlo’s family home and the garments that shaped her mythology; private architecture tour of Casa Pedregal by Luis Barragán, where light and color redefine modern architecture; and the ancient canals lined with blooming cempasúchil (marigolds), where echoes of the Aztec world still linger.
During our time in the city, we’ll encounter the early expressions of Día de los Muertos through marigolds, ofrendas, and quiet moments of remembrance woven into daily life, and have the opportunity to create a community altar with a local artist.
Designed for travelers who move with curiosity and intention, this experience invites connection—to place, to creativity, and to a circle of like-minded spirits. To preserve intimacy, the group is limited to eight guests.

Itinerary
Each journey reveals itself in its own time. While the heart of the experience remains intact, certain moments may gently shift in response to the people who gather—leaving room for serendipity, creative connection, and the natural rhythm of the days.
-
Upon arrival, you’ll be personally welcomed at the airport and transferred seamlessly to the hotel. Please plan to arrive anytime before 4:00 PM, allowing time to settle in and unwind.
As evening begins, we gather on the rooftop for welcome drinks, with a wine and mezcal tasting guided by Belén, one of Mexico City’s leading sommeliers. Her perspective offers an insider’s introduction to the country’s evolving wine and mezcal culture, setting the tone for connection and celebration.
The evening continues with an intimate dinner at Rosetta, one of Mexico City’s most celebrated dining destinations, where seasonal flavors and thoughtful craft carry us into the days ahead.
-
The day begins at Casa Azul, Frida Kahlo’s family home, followed by a leisurely stroll through the storied streets of Coyoacán. From there, we visit Anahuacalli, Diego Rivera’s monumental and transformative architectural vision, designed in collaboration with Juan O’Gorman.
Lunch is served at the historic San Ángel Inn, before the afternoon concludes with a private tour of Casa Pedregal, designed by Luis Barragán, culminating in a mezcal tasting and curated menu served within the home’s former stables.
-
The day opens at Parque Quetzalcóatl, a dreamlike architectural landscape envisioned by Javier Senosiain, where organic forms rise from the earth and architecture feels alive. From there, we gather at Contramar for a sunlit seafood lunch—an enduring institution woven into the rhythm of the city.
In the afternoon, we step inside the National Museum of Anthropology, tracing Mexico City’s origins back to Tenochtitlán, the Aztec capital that still rests beneath the modern world.
Afterwards, we open for an optional shopping excursion through a thoughtfully curated collection of boutique shops where Tancredi & Morgen source fashion and homewares for our store.
As evening falls, the night is left open for unhurried self exploration or quiet rest, allowing the city to reveal itself at your own pace.
-
We begin with a canal ride through Xochimilco, drifting past floating gardens and visiting a blooming cempasúchil (marigold) field that supplies the city with flowers for Día de los Muertos altars. Lunch is served aboard the boat, accompanied by a selection of Mexican wines as we glide through the canals.
We’ll also visit one of Mexico City’s iconic marigold markets, where the city begins its seasonal shift toward remembrance. Together, we’ll gather flowers and symbolic elements to create a small community ofrenda (altar), offering a quiet moment to reflect on the traditions and meanings that shape Día de los Muertos.
As evening falls, the night is yours—with the option to join us for Mexican wrestling (lucha libre) at the arena where it all began (trust us, it’s unforgettable). The experience continues with an after-hours gathering at a hidden Cuban salsa club, where musicians are flown in directly from Havana for an electric, late-night celebration.
-
We begin our final morning with breakfast at Panadería Rosetta, lingering over coffee and pan dulce before continuing to a local artist’s studio. There, we’ll take part in an intimate altar (ofrenda) experience, reflecting on loved ones and learning the process, symbolism, and care that go into creating these spaces of remembrance.
This quiet gathering serves as a thoughtful closing to the journey, shaped by craft, reflection, and conversation.
For those who wish to linger a little longer, we’re happy to arrange an additional night at the hotel for a day of self-guided exploration. Airport transfers are included for guests departing on Sunday.

We want to ensure that every guest can participate comfortably and safely in the experience. By booking one of our trips, you acknowledge and agree that a moderate level of physical fitness is required. Activities may include walking up to two miles per day, sometimes on cobblestone streets, navigating winding roads, and spending time at higher elevation. Mexico City sits at approximately 7,350 feet (2,240 meters) above sea level, which may affect some travelers.
If you have any health concerns related to altitude or questions about accessibility and physical requirements, we encourage you to contact us at megan@tancredimorgen.com prior to booking. We’re happy to discuss whether this journey is the right fit for you.
We also can provide a concierge itinerary if you feel a solo trip at your own pace would be a better fit.
-
Yes! All dietary preferences, allergies, and relevant health considerations will be documented through a pre-trip intake form. This allows us to thoughtfully accommodate your needs and ensure a smooth, well-cared-for experience throughout the journey.
-
Yes. Mexico City is a vibrant, cosmopolitan destination that welcomes travelers from around the world. As with any major city, thoughtful planning and awareness are important—but safety is a priority throughout our journey. We carefully curate neighborhoods, accommodations, transportation, and experiences, and all group movements are supported by private transfers and trusted local partners, allowing you to explore with confidence and ease.
That said, we do require proof of travel insurance. While Mexico City is well equipped for visitors, unexpected situations can occur in any destination, and we want to ensure you’re fully covered and supported throughout the experience.
-
When visiting any new destination, mild digestive discomfort can occasionally occur. To help prevent this, we recommend beginning a probiotic regimen approximately three to four weeks prior to departure. We also advise avoiding tap water, and we will guide you on best practices while on the ground.
To further support digestion, we provide papaya enzymes after meals. In the rare event of more serious discomfort, we have access to a trusted local physician who can assist promptly. With these protocols in place, no guests experienced illness on our previous journey.
-
We’re always happy to help. Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions or thoughts—whether big or small. You can contact us anytime at megan@tancredimorgen.com and we’ll be glad to assist.

Mexico City offers a range of accommodations, and we’ve chosen a stylish, comfortable hotel in a vibrant area. However, be prepared for a few realities of staying in a developing city:
The hotel does not have air conditioning, but temperatures rarely exceed 70°F (27°C), and it can be quite cool at night.
Each room will have a portable fan, portable heater, and extra blankets, as temperatures can shift throughout the day.
The hotel was built in 2023 and has an elevator.
We provide an amenity kit for each room but be sure to pack any personal medications you need for the duration of the trip.
-
A virtual orientation via Zoom will be held prior to departure to review trip details, answer questions, and help you prepare. This is a wonderful opportunity to meet fellow travelers and step into the journey feeling informed and excited.
In advance of departure, we’ll also provide thoughtfully prepared to-do lists, packing guidance, and all essential details to ensure a smooth and well-supported experience.
“There aren’t even words for how magical this experience was. Every meal and moment was crafted with such intention, weaving Mexico’s history and culture through art, flavor, and story into a truly life-changing trip. Each day spent in CDMX was a complete delight for all the senses; all of the details were so thoughtfully curated by Tancredi & Morgen. I will forever treasure the memories made and I can’t wait to return.”

About Your Guide
Your journey will be led by Megan of Tancredi & Morgen, who lived in Mexico City for three years and continues to return regularly while working on a documentary supported by The Redford Center. Her relationship with the city is shaped not only by time spent there, but by deep creative ties to its artists, neighborhoods, and rhythms of daily life.
Alongside Megan is her close friend Patricio, a Mexico City native whose perspective brings the city’s layered history, humor, and local insight to life. Together, they open doors to a side of Mexico City rarely seen by visitors—one rooted in lived experience, creative exchange, and genuine connection.
